HighEd Tech Logo
As a Digital Content & Communications Manager at the NC State Office of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures, I work with inventors and entrepreneurs with university based IP to help get their technology, service or software commercialized.
Sweat Equity Challenge winner HighEd tech is startup led by Dr. Adria Shipp Dunbar of NC State. The HighEd Tech team is creating a mobile app and web server to allow students, site supervisors, and university supervisors to access student recordings, as well as other related documentation (e.g., case notes, hours logs, supervisor feedback, student goals, department forms) using their own devices (i.e., phone, tablet, computer).
Rather than piecing together several systems (e.g., Google Drive, email, recording software, Word Documents), the software system would provide a hub for all student information related to practicum and internship. Supervisors and students would all have access to the same data to better evaluate and monitor student progress.
This will increase the transparency, continuity, direct observation, use of data and increased dialog between supervisors and student leading to successful graduation from the program.
I developed her logo and brand. I also created a video testimonial for the Sweat Equity Challenge to bring on a mobile application developer. I made the motion graphics, shot and edited the interview below.
