As the Digital Content & Communications Manager at the NC State Office of Research Commercialization, I work with inventors and entrepreneurs with university based IP to help get their technology, service or software commercialized. 

Bay Nano Technologies is developing smart glass (electrochromic glass) that will produce energy, make energy use more efficient and reduce CO2. 

The logo is meant to highlight the nano technology aspect behind the glass. The unique aspect of this spin out is the innovative technology behind this new electrochromic glass. The green dot represents nano dot technology and the hexagon is a easily recognized symbol of technology/science and one of the strongest shapes in nature. The green is meant to showcase sustainability and clean energy.
